Michael has practiced law in Henderson County and Western North Carolina since 1985.  His primary focus is on criminal defense, representing clients charged with everything from parking tickets to capital murder.  In addition to his criminal practice, Michael maintains an active general practice, representing clients in business, real estate, domestic, and estate matters.

Michael is in his fourth term as an elected county commissioner for Henderson County, North Carolina.  As such, he does not represent clients in matters related to Henderson County.  He is available and does represent clients in matters related to other government entities.
